- The TubesCafeteria · art show
The band formed on March 22, 1972, and one of the very first Tubes shows was in the Art Institute cafeteria — playing an art show mounted by a classmate of Prairie Prince and Michael Cotten named Kathryn Bigelow, who would go on to direct The Hurt Locker and become the first woman to win the Academy Award for Best Director.
